Royal Rally Standard Terms & Conditions

Safety

Royal Rally is not a race. You must drive safely and responsibly with respect to both participants and members of the public. You must comply with local laws and regulations and at no time be driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Royal Rally staff reserves the right to refuse further participation in the rally for any single violation of the foregoing or of any terms and conditions contained herein.

Responsibility

The organizer accepts no responsibility for the consequences of you being cited, charged, prosecuted or ejected from any venue/location. The organizer accepts no responsibility for damage to your vehicle or a third-party vehicle.

Insurance Coverage

You should obtain and maintain all appropriate forms of insurance and be able to produce documentation. You must have legal and valid vehicle registration with your name matching on registration. You must also hold a current valid driver’s license.

Age

All drivers must be 18 and over, no exceptions. We recommend all team members be 18 years of age, or older, to fully participate in the rally. We may visit venues for meals or checkpoints that will not allow minors. No refunds will be given if you are unable to participate fully in the event due to the age of your teammate(s).

Vehicle

Royal Rally is open to the following vehicle classes: Modified Import, Luxury European, Modified Domestic & Exotic. We encourage unique vehicle entries, but preference will be given to sports/performance/luxury or exotic vehicles. Spots are limited to 60 cars, therefore we cannot guarantee availability. All vehicles are to arrive to the event unbranded unless discussed prior to the event.

Additional Spending

Participants are responsible for all other personal acquisitions including but not limited to: gas, park passes and possible damages incurred along the way. The Royal Rally entry fee does not cover personal expenses.

Conduct

You must conduct yourself appropriately at all times, keeping in mind the rules and regulations of venues we visit along the way.

Indemnity

You will indemnify Royal Rally, its sponsors, partners and volunteers against any and all claims, lawsuit and cause of action brought against them by a third party as a result of your action or participation in the event.

Force Majeure

Royal Rally is not responsible if it cannot fulfill its obligations resulting from 3rd party contracts (including but not limiting the hosting of the rally or any portion of the rally) due to an act of God or any other cases defines as Force Majeure by Canadian laws and regulations.

Royal Rally Branding

You agree to have the Royal Rally logo and official event sponsor stickers/decals placed on your vehicle for the duration of the entire event. Stickers/decals are to remain clean and clearly visible at all times.

You shall not be entitled to use the Royal Rally logo for any purpose (other than placing sticker on your vehicle) without obtaining prior written consent from the organizer. You must arrive to the event with your vehicle unbranded unless previously cleared with the event organizers. Unbranded refers to the promotion of brands conflicting with our sponsors or Royal Rally. Arriving with conflicting decals on your vehicle will result in your removal from the event with no refund. Personal decals, Instagram handles, etc. are fine.

Decal Removal

Stickers/decals are made for temporary use on vehicles. Royal Rally, its volunteers and organizers are not responsible for claims for damage to vehicle body if not removed properly. Always remove your decals on a warm day, or with heat, to ensure no damage to your paint or protective film. Removal in cold temperatures may damage paint protection film or vinyl wrap. It is recommended you remove your decals within a few weeks of application. After long periods of time, the material will harden and will come off in smaller pieces. People often leave the decals on for months and they come off perfectly fine.

Noise

Please note that some venues, particularly our start line locations, may have noise bylaws and decibel limits that cannot be exceeded, without consequence. For example, the City of Calgary has regulations in place to not allow excessive noise before 9 a.m. on Sundays. It is expected that you follow noise regulations in the jurisdictions we visit, or you could risk being the possibility (as slim as it might be) of being cited by local law enforcement or being ejected from a venue. This includes race track venues we may visit. Please familiarize yourself with any noise regulations prior to registering for an event.

Refunds

No refunds of the entry fee will be made under any circumstances at any point during or after the event. Deposits are considered non-refundable, for any reason whatsoever, once a team has registered, unless the organizers are required to cancel the event. Please review our refund policy for further information.

A refund, less your deposit (if applicable to the event), will only be issued to any team that withdraws from the event at least 30 days prior to the event, no questions asked. Any teams withdrawing after this period, or not providing notice of withdrawing, will not be eligible for a refund.

If Royal Rally cannot fulfil any of its obligations on the event, such as hotel bookings, checkpoint or activity bookings, etc., an effort will be made by the organizers to secure a similar venue or activity. If an alternate venue, of equal or lesser value, cannot be secured, participants will be refunded for that portion of the event that Royal Rally is unable to uphold. If an alternate activity, checkpoint, hotel, meal or other obligation can be secured, no refund will be issued to participants.

Refusal

If you violate any terms and conditions or refuse to follow instructions from the organizer during the event, you may be refused further participation in the event.

You hereby waive the any and all rights of publicity or privacy and grant the organizer full and complete permission to use your appearance in the event in any manner for promotional purposes. You are entitled to take photographs and video for the sole purpose of personal and private use only. You shall not be entitled to arrange or conduct media appearances including release of statements to media regarding event without obtaining prior written consent from the organizer.
