ROYAL RALLY – WILD WEST 2018 RECAP

On Saturday, September 8, 2018 , 73 teams from Alberta, Saskatchewan and B.C.  gathered at House of Cars – Barlow Trail for Royal Rally’s annual single-day scavenger hunt event; Royal Rally – Wild West. Fueled by a complementary breakfast from House of Cars and  with live music by Barbu Entertainment, the teams were handed their first route cards, taking them to the Calgary Corn Maze to compete in two challenges: the first was navigating through the maze and locating five stations within a certain time limit, while the other tested teams’ accuracy in a paintball shooting range. Next teams headed to the Museum of Miniatures, a wild west themed exhibit in Nanton, before heading to the Coyote Flats Pioneer Village in Picture Butte. Lunch was at the Lethbridge Smokehouse BBQ. After taking some time to enjoy a western smokehouse feast, teams headed to the NWMP Museum in Fort MacLeod for a showdown challenge before heading to Lundbreck Falls in search of Wild West wanted posters. Finally, teams engaged in a steer roping challenge at the Bar U Ranch before heading North to the Stoney Nakoda Resort via the scenic Highway 40.
